Boracay Beach is part of Aklan

I Don't know how credible I am to feature some of the beautiful spots in my country as I am not well traveled and most of all do not have time and chance to do that for now. Here are the top spots in the Philippines which receive bulk of tourists based on statistics. Do I have to provide evidence? Well! just read and see and they will tell you why.

Boracay Beach is part of Aklan Province in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. It is one of the world's famous because of its talcum white sand and crystal clear water. From foods to entertainment, Boracay deserves to be called world class. Fire dancers along with other entertainers make tourist feel the hype of Las Vegas at night while during the day one can engage water sports activities that this place offers as well. No one knows what Boracay experience is all about without having one's body pampered by excellent spas that offer native and foreign massage.

Chocolate Hills of Bohol is not a chain of chocolate mountains though it looks like it when seen from afar. Green grass turn brown as they die during summer, hence the name. This geological wonder and the place where it belongs are said to be part of the sea million of years back which seems true to me as I myself have noticed ( when I was there) the abundance of sea gravel and shells in one of the hills I have climbed.

Another from Bohol; Tarsier is, if not, at least one of the smallest primates in the world. They are nocturnal despite their enormous eyes and naturally carnivores or insectivores to be specific. They are shy and vulnirable animals and could die early when having frequent physical contacts with human.

Puerto Princesa Palawan in the Philippines holds what I can call majestic nature made jewelry box; Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park. It is actually nominated as finalist in the "New Seven Wonders of the World" contending other wonders from different parts of the globe. The major attractions of this park include amazing formations of stalactite and stalagmite, beautiful flora and fauna and the underground river system itself that stretches 8.2 kilometer from and to the other end.

Siargao is small island in the province of Surigao del Norte. It is known for its white sand beaches and favorable crest of waves, no wonder it is a preferred venue for local and international surfing competition.

Witness the live evidence of Filipino ancestor's ingenuity in carving the mountains to make them suitable for rice planting. Banaue Rice Terraces( I mean the whole area) can be found in rural municipality of Banaue which is also a part of Ifugao Province. One of the most interesting facts about it is the steps, when put end to end, can encircle half of the globe. Hmmm! I think by that you can imagine how vast Banaue Rice Terraces is.

Philippine eagle is the national bird to where it is named after. One can see this huge, high flying bird by visiting Philippine Eagle Center in Malagos, Calinan Davao City which also houses incredible species of birds and other animals.
